KATRA, Aug 3: After alleged suicide by a person in Police custody, Incharge Police Post Banganga was attached, whereas Munshi was suspended.
The deceased was identified as Sohan Singh alias Sonu, resident of Purana Darood village, situated on Mata Vaishno Devi Track, who was arrested by the Banganga Police Post on charges of theft in a house at his native village.
He died in police custody under suspicious circumstances, this morning while family members of the deceased alleged that he died due to the torture of Police.
A magisterial inquiry has been ordered in this issue.
